JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (May 3, 2018) – Executives from California-based Ingram Micro Inc. will Friday join state and local officials to cut the ribbon on its new third-party distribution center in Jeffersonville. The technology and supply chain services company has invested nearly $40 million into the 590,000-square-foot facility, which is expected to create up to 550 jobs by 2021.
Ingram Micro first announced plans for the distribution center, which is located at the River Ridge Commerce Center, in October. The company already employs nearly 2,000 full-time and seasonal workers in Indianapolis and Plainfield.
Indiana Secretary of Commerce Jim Schellinger will be on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony, which is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
Ingram Micro has more than 170 facilities throughout the world.
